Memorial Garden, Tring, 2-5pm. Entry to the garden is free, but donations to the Royal British Legion, who will have a stall, will be gratefully received. The hope is that today’s families can relive and share the relief and happiness felt by Tring people in 1918 when the war was coming to an end.

Local History Museum, 9 Brook St, Tring HP23 5ED 7.30pm. £2. Guided walk with Tim Amsden, Chair of the Tring & District Local History & Museum Society. Ends 9pm at Robin Hood pub, 1 Brook St, Tring HP23 5ED. No booking required.
Red Lion, Dagnall, 10.30am. A 6.5-mile walk around the Gade Valley climbing up to Whipsnade Golf Course, through Masons Plantation and Studham, back down to the valley and up past Gaddesden Church, Hoo Wood, Well Farm and then lunch.
