The event took place on Saturday 6 March 2022, with its usual start at Berkhamsted Cricket Club, in fine weather. Over a thousand runners enjoyed the picturesque course. Fun Runners and Half Marathon runners set off at different times, through the town and up to Potten End and the Common. Fun Runners branched off to complete their 5-mile course, down New Road. The course for Half Marathon runners continued up through Nettleden and up to Little Gaddesden with a return past Ashridge House.

The ticket proceeds will go to various local charities, while many runners (some supported by running clubs and schools) raised funds for their chosen charities.

The town’s volunteer Fire personnel carried an 8-metre ladder around the course, and wore full kit. A couple of dinosaurs were spotted lurking in the pack.

The event was only made possible by the hundreds of volunteers marshal, water station and finish helpers. Berkhamsted Rotary acknowledges the help provided by the Sponsors and others who gave of their time, transportation and materials to ensure a joyous start to Spring.
