Guinness World Record Attempt by Tring Squash Club

Living Magazines Mike and Alex-Squash world record attempt

On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 September 2022, two players from Tring Squash Club are going to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest ever squash match to raise money for the Florence Nightingale Hospice.

Alex Preston and Michael Pearce will be taking on the mighty challenge to beat the current time for the longest continuous match of 38 hours and 27 seconds and set a new record of over 40 hours!

Inspiration for this challenge has come after Alex’ Mum was treated at Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury last year. Alex and Michael are hoping to raise over £8,000 to enable the hospice to purchase its own bladder scanner. Currently, patients have to be transported to hospital to be scanned, so an in-house scanner will significantly help their daily lives and treatment.

The new world record attempt will commence at 4am on Friday 16 September at Tring Squash Club and supporters are welcome to go and cheer them along!
