A Look Back at a Year in Local NHS Services

Living Magazines Brian Dumpleton Blue Tit

Join in as the three local NHS clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) deliver their first joint annual general meeting on Thursday 8 July and take a brief look back on one of the most extraordinary years in the history of the NHS.

You will be able to find out more about what the three CCGs (who make up in part the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System) and health and care services locally have been doing to support the health and wellbeing of local residents during the COVID pandemic.

The Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System is one of many systems across the country. In an integrated care system, NHS organisations, in partnership with local councils and others, take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering NHS standards, and improving the health of the population they serve. This is the first time their joint executive team have hosted their Annual General Meeting together.

The CCGs will use this meeting to present their annual reports and accounts, and there will be a chance to hear from the Chief Finance Officer and the Chairs of each of the organisations’ governing bodies.

Jane Halpin, Joint Chief Executive Officer Herts & West Essex CCGs, said: ‘This is the first year we are joining together to present our annual reports and accounts. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the hardworking NHS staff as well as all the other local providers of services from volunteers to pharmacists to care home workers and more for their combined efforts to support the health and wellbeing of our residents. This has been a year like no other and we would like this opportunity to reflect but also set out our priorities for the coming year.’

The meeting will be held virtually from 9.30-11am. Anyone who wants to participate will be emailed a link to attend the meeting and will be able to ask questions.

If you would like to attend please email agm@healthierfuture.org.uk

Each CCG will also hold local meetings to share information about work and innovation that is specific to each area. East and North Herts AGM is also on 8 July 2021, email enhertsccg.communications@nhs.net if you would like to attend.

The other CCG meetings will be advertised separately.
