Afternoon Tea for DENS

On Saturday 29th September, Aitchisons Estate Agents hosted an afternoon of tea, cake and live music at Leverstock Green Cricket Club. The event, which was the third of its kind put on by Aitchisons and the cricket club, raised over £600 for local homeless charity DENS through ticket sales and a highly popular raffle. Food was also donated to the Elms night shelter, enabling service users to have an afternoon tea of their own on the day.

Andy Young, Head of Residential for Aitchisons, commented, ‘We have been proud supporters of DENS for a number of years and are pleased to have been able to host the Afternoon Tea once again. It is a popular event and crucially, raises awareness within our community of the excellent work that DENS do. Attendees at the sold-out event enjoyed music from the Gentle Jazz Quartet, and band member Eric Pillinger, who is also a DENS Trustee, spoke about the work the charity does in supporting local people move back in to independent living.
