Appeal for Witnesses and Information following Assault in Berkhamsted

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Berkhamsted.

The incident occurred at around 6pm on Friday 24 February, in Gossoms End.

It is reported that a teenage boy and a woman got off a bus near Riverside Gardens having travelled from Hemel Hempstead and were approached by a group of teenagers.

The woman was then assaulted and sustained a facial injury before the suspects ran off in the direction of Tesco on the High Street.

DS Paul Burton, who is investigating, said: ‘Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

‘I am particularly keen to trace a passing motorist who may have witnessed the incident and spoke to the victim. If this was you, or you have any further information to assist our investigation, please email me at paul.burton@herts.police.uk.”

A 17-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were arrested and have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
