Apply for a Community Grant and Get up to £4,000 Funding
Local community and voluntary organisations in Dacorum are invited to apply for the second round of Dacorum Borough Council’s Community Grant Scheme, which opened for applications on 1 September 2024.
The Community Grant Scheme has been awarding grants to Dacorum community and voluntary organisations for over 10 years, and has two sources of funding available. The Small Grants fund is for awards up to £550, and the Community Grant fund makes awards up to £4,000.
The Community Grant Scheme’s funds are made available in rounds, three times a year. In the previous funding round during spring 2024, over £30,000 was awarded to community, voluntary, arts and sporting projects for the benefit of residents within Dacorum.
Any community or voluntary organisation in Dacorum can apply, as long as they meet the grant criteria. The Council are particularly interested in new projects which benefit the Dacorum community and can demonstrate significant partnership working with other community or voluntary organisations, and have funding from a variety of sources. All applications are made via the online application portal.
Cllr Sheron Wilkie, Portfolio Holder for Place at Dacorum Borough Council said: ‘The Community Grant scheme is an excellent opportunity for local community or voluntary groups to progress any of the fantastic new ideas that I hear about all of time from these groups.’
