Author Hannah Gold Returns to her Tring School
As part of the upcoming ten day Tring Book Festival, Hannah Gold, the celebrated children’s author of The Last Bear, will be spending an evening with Children’s Laureate Michael Morpurgo.
Hannah is in conversation with Michael Morpurgo on Tuesday 9 November at The High Street Baptist Church, Tring.
Hannah, who grew up in Tring and is a former pupil of Grove Road Primary School, will be paying the school a visit on the morning of Wednesday 10 November, talking to Years 3, 4, 5 & 6, and popping in to say hello to Years 1 & 2.
Festival favourite and master storyteller Michael Morpurgo will be introducing his new novel When Fishes Flew: The Story of Elena’s War, a sweeping tale of love and rescue set in Ithica, Greece.
Always an inspiring speaker, don’t miss Michael talking about his new characters and the background to a story that features magic, myth, mystery and some of the unsung, everyday heroes of World War Two.
