Beechwood’s New Products

Living Magazines Elizabeth Botham’s Ginger Parkin

In the light of the most recent Government announcement, Beechwood Fine Foods have taken the decision not to re-open the eat-in cafe until at least after Christmas; as a result they are rearranging that part of the deli to create a larger and better retail space, enabling them to increase the range of produce on offer and to open up the floor space even more to give everyone the opportunity to maintain those social distancing requirements.

Take Away: In addition to their regular offering of Coffee, Tea, Hot chocolate and Sarah’s cakes they will also have available a daily homemade soup, delicious and nutritious either hot ready to enjoy or chilled for warming up later.

Current Opening hours: Weekdays 8am to 4pm, Saturday 8.30am to 4pm and Sunday 10.30am to 12.30pm

New Products for Autumn

Here are just some of the new products for this autumn:

Welcome back Chiltern Charcuterie

The excellent Chiltern Charcuterie are back on the shelves, after relocating, now even more local to Tring, their base is Rossway Park at Berkhamstead. Beechwoods currently have a range of Salamis, either sliced or whole, N’Duja and Air-dried Beef, with more coming on line shortly. Lots of customers have been eagerly awaiting their return so let’s help re-establish another great local business.

Mud Pies

Of course not that sort of mud pies, but instead this sort! – Steak & Ale, Steak and Stilton, Chicken, Ham and Leek to name but a few. Handmade in Midhurst, Sussex, these pies make a mid week winter meal easy and tasty – add to that some of our own seasonal veg and what more do you need? (okay a bottle of wine maybe? Well that’s not too far away to get either!)

Elizabeth Botham’s Ginger Parkin

We have added to our range of cakes and sweet treats to enjoy at home this autumn, a traditional ginger parkin made in Yorkshire. Its wholesome combination of oatmeal, treacle and spicy ginger brings a warm glow to any teatime, but especially as the nights draw in and perfect for bonfire night!

Tring’s Own Apple Fayre

In recognition of this month’s Apple Fayre, the best of traditional and speciality varieties of British apples and pears are now in stock; Bramleys for cooking, Coxs, Early Worchesters, Egremont Russets, Conference pears and lots more to boot! So you know where to come to get yours; it supports us, British growers and the economy, so let’s leave the ‘Pink Ladys’ on the shelves of the supermarkets where they belong! (and no plastic bags either).

There is also a range of single variety and blended apple and apple and pear juices.

And finally

Sarah is already making Christmas cakes for customer orders, so that they have plenty of time to mature and to be fed with brandy; so if you would like to order one (or more) of Sarah’s 8” round or 4.5” square cakes just get in touch and she will add you to the list!
