Berkhamsted Hairdresser to Billie Eilish Named Best UK Session Stylist

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing Awards took place in the first week of December, celebrating innovation and outstanding talent within the hair industry.

Celebrity stylist and salon owner Luke Benson added the accolade of Session Hair Stylist of the Year to his growing list of awards, testament to his skill, artistic vision, and unwavering dedication to his craft.

Luke, a former winner of the British Hairdressing Awards’ London Hairdresser of the Year, is stylist to some of the world’s biggest stars, including Billie Eilish for whom he created iconic hair moments at the BRIT Awards and the James Bond premiere, Roman Kemp, Joe Jonas, Tom Grennan, George Ezra, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Michelle Keegan, Louise, Anna Friel and Amy Jackson, as well as being stylist of choice for brands including Tom Ford, Miu Miu, Nails Inc and Joshua Kane.

Luke, who is a Global Ambassador for B Corp haircare brand Keune, recently opened his first salon in his home town of Berkhamsted. Luke said: ‘I’m so proud and overwhelmed to have won Session Hair Stylist of the Year at this prestigious Luncheon. Thank you to all the judges, my team, Keune, and everyone else I work with to be able to build a portfolio of work diverse enough to be recognised. And to receive the award from my hair idol, legendary session stylist Eugene Souleiman, was the cherry on top!’

Next up for Luke this month is the Capital Jingle Bell Ball, where he’ll be on grooming duties for longtime client Roman Kemp.
