British Flowers Week
British Flowers Week, held between 3-9 June in collaboration with Flowers From the Farm celebrates the splendour, beauty and diversity of locally grown seasonal flowers.
Flowers From The Farm is an award-winning, membership association championing artisan growers of seasonal, scented and sustainable British cut flowers. You too can experience the beautiful varieties and delicate fragrances of locally grown seasonal flowers which have been grown on a small scale and hand-tended with care by passionate growers right here in your local community.
Julie Woodford from Madge & Ivy Flowers in Berkhamsted who created a show garden (pictured) at RHS Hampton Court in 2023 to highlight growing cut flowers, suggests: ‘talk to your local grower or florist about choosing locally sourced British Flowers and support local businesses promoting sustainability and community engagement within the floral industry’.
Julie will be creating another cutting garden install at Strawberry Hill Flower Festival in Twickenham taking place from Friday 13-15 September 2024.
