Recent restrictions have taken their toll on retail stores across the country but communities are still supporting their local outlets, as can be seen by the recent successful launch of MooBoo at The Marlowes, who have begun to brew a bubble tea trend.

For those new to bubble tea, the popular drink originated in the 1980s from Taiwan and has since swept the nation, to now land with over 1,000 flavours in MooBoo’s kiosk at The Marlowes.

MooBoo, a UK-based Bubble Tea operator, celebrated their launch at The Marlowes with a Buy One Get One Free offer for all customers ordering to takeaway.

Amit Chatterjee, Owner of MooBoo at The Marlowes, said: ‘We want to thank the community who helped support our MooBoo team during the launch weekend and who have made our transition into The Marlowes such a success.’

Humphrey Mwanza, The Marlowes’ General Manager, continued: ‘We are delighted to welcome MooBoo as a new addition to The Marlowes, alongside our other stores, eateries and facilities that have managed to keep operating and serving the community during these difficult times.’

Humphrey added: ‘We are incredibly grateful to all of our guests, retail customers and staff who have played such a vital role in keeping The Marlowes open and operating in a safe manner throughout 2020. We look forward to welcoming guests to MooBoo and all of the other great outlets in The Marlowes very soon.’

Visitors to The Marlowes over the age of 11 are reminded to wear a face covering unless they have a valid exemption; follow the one-way system; and socially distance from others to protect the entire community.
