Bucks County Museum changes name to Discover Bucks Museum

Living Magazines Discover Bucks Museum, Aylesbury

As it launches its new galleries this September, Bucks County Museum is completely transforming what it offers its visitors, so they thought this is a great time for a new identity. They are still the same great people with a wonderful line-up of exhibitions and events – a space to explore, learn and wonder about Bucks and to find out about the stories of people and places in this area and beyond.

To celebrate its new name, the museum is giving away a FREE quality Tote bag printed with its exclusive new Discover Bucks Museum design to the first 50 pre-booked groups through the doors on the 26 June to visit the new summer exhibition, Dinosaurs Uncovered. Dinosaurs Uncovered is an exciting family-friendly exhibition that showcases stunning skeleton and fossil casts from dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts. A must-see for dinosaur fans of all ages. Dinosaurs Uncovered runs from 26 June until 18 September 2021. Visit the new website to book.

New website has just launched

With a brand new name comes a brand new website. It’s a fantastic place to find out what’s happening at the museum, what’s coming up and to explore star objects in the collections, as well as charges, opening times and booking information. You’ll see a new website but it will be under the old name for a few more weeks.

New galleries opening September

The new galleries are called Discover Bucks and tell the stories of Bucks people and places from 200 million years ago to today. Explore Geology, Archaeology, Bucks People, Art and Wildlife and discover amazing objects with incredible stories from the museum’s collections.
