Capturing Nature in Dacorum’s Architecture

Living Magazines Capturing Nature in Dacorum’s Architecture photography challenge

Our thanks to Esther Green, the new Assistant Collections Manager (Maternity Cover) at The Dacorum Heritage Trust for this update:

Jenni Blackford, our new Collections Manager and I would like to invite you to take part in our Heritage Open Days event, ‘Capturing Nature in Dacorum’s Architecture’.

As many of you will already know, the theme for Heritage Open Days this year is ‘Hidden Nature’. We thought this would be a great opportunity for us to invite the public of Dacorum to send in their photographs of the hidden nature in the built heritage of our borough. We will then later display these entries online, on social media and possibly in an exhibition later in the year (depending on government guidance).

We hope the entries will be representative of the whole of Dacorum and all of its wonderful built heritage and fantastic local history stories. We would therefore really like you to enter so that we can include the important representation of your society in the final collection of images. You can enter as an organisation, as a group or as an individual.

Please see all the details on how to enter on our website: www.dacorumheritage.org.uk/dht-news/heritage-open-days-2020-capturing-nature-in-dacorums-architecture/

Finally, please do pass this on to your members or anyone else who may like to enter. Anyone and everyone may enter as many times as they like, as long as the image was taken in Dacorum. We’d like entries to be sent to us by Friday 25 September please.

We very much look forward to your entries. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you’d like to just say hello! Jenni and I are new in our posts and would welcome a phone call to get to know you all. Telephone 01442 879525 Email collections@dacorumheritage.org.uk
