Celebrating 30 Years of Partnership

Living Magazines Stringer Mann Chartered Financial Planners 30th anniversary

July 2020 sees the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Robert Stringer and Richard Mann of Stringer Mann Chartered Financial Planners based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Despite Coronavirus blocking any plans for a party, a donation will be made to the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation to assist those struggling as a result of the pandemic.

Robert Stringer and Richard Mann first met 30 years ago, on Independence Day – 4th July 1990 – when they were both working at a regional independent financial advice firm. Like so many entrepreneurs, the pair decided to partner up when the company they were working for ceased trading in 1992. Stringer Mann Partnership was formed in 1993.

It was the association with Bradford & Bingley Building Society at the time, which prompted the move to Berkhamsted. And, for a short period, the Stringer Mann estate agency replaced that of Bradford & Bingley on Berkhamsted High Street, before a decision was taken to focus solely on wealth management.

During this time, the firm built up a wealth of knowledge in both the private and corporate financial services sectors. In 2009 Stringer Mann was invited to join St. James’s Place.

On joining St. James’s Place, Partner Robert Stringer commented: ‘Richard and I strongly believe that our service to our clients has been yet further enhanced by the backing of this highly respected Wealth Management group.’

Today, the company employs an additional Financial Adviser, a Mortgage Adviser, Paraplanner, a Marketing Manager and a team of administrators – with views for future growth despite the pandemic.

Robert Stringer concluded: Whether times are good or bad, we ultimately have control over our company decisions. We thoroughly enjoy being part of the local community and all it has to offer and look forward to the next 30 years!’
