On Saturday 24 June 2023, Dacorum Borough Council will be hosting its annual Armed Forces Day event.

Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces Community, from currently serving troops, to Service families, veterans and cadets.

The event will be held in Gadebridge Park from 11am-3pm.

There will be a range of free entertainment and activities, including the Silver Star Parachute Display Team, re-enactment groups, the World’s 5th Strongest Man, mobile rock climbing and Little Nippers (agility dogs). There will also be face painting and balloon modellers to keep even the youngest members of the family entertained.

There will be a range of charity and community stalls to explore, together with a variety of food and drink stalls, provided in partnership with Hemel Old Town Market.

Cllr Carole Weston, Portfolio Holder for People and Transformation said: ‘Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to come together to honour and celebrate our Armed Forces, in the beautiful surroundings of Gadebridge Park. I hope that our communities will join us on the day to show their support and to enjoy the fantastic entertainment and activities on offer.’

Further updates and timings for the day will be shared on the Council’s social media and website:  www.dacorum.gov.uk/AFD.
