Charity ball to support Save Castle Fields campaign
Berkhamsted Castle Trust will hold a ball in the Nash Hall in Berkhamsted School on 31 October from 7pm-midnight to raise funds for the Save Castle Fields campaign.
The trust needs to raise £500,000 in two years to help repay a loan, secured to protect the 30 acres of the Castle Fields from development.
The land with its stunning views is to the east of Berkhamsted Castle.
The fields are of critical historic importance, ecologically rich, and will be managed as a permanent key future public open space for Berkhamsted. To help this cause, the ball will be held on Saturday 31 October from 7pm until midnight.
The ball will include a complimentary drink on arrival, a three-course dinner, a gala charity auction presided over by John Bly and Eric Knowles of the Antiques Roadshow, and a live band.
Items being auctioned include a holiday home stay in Wales, a commissioned painting of your house by local artist Mary Casserley, a one-hour flight in a Piper PA28 from Halton, and a guided tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum accompanied by John Bly. Tickets are £75 per person with seating on tables of eight, but groups, couples and individuals are all welcome. Dress code is black tie.
