Discover Bucks Museum are getting in the festive mood with lots of great Christmassy events to suit everyone. They kickstart the season with the Christmas Craft Market on 26 November, followed by two special Charles Dickens performances. First is the Magic of Dickens on 3 December, a show about the life of Charles Dickens and his interest in magic. Then on 9 December A Christmas Carol – an outstanding one-man performance of Charles Dickens’ classic tale of Scrooge told in the author’s own words. Christmas through the Ages on 10 December is a fantastic family event. Have fun discovering what Christmas was like in the Tudor, Georgian and Victorian eras with lots of games, crafts and carols and of course mince pies!

Opening on 26 November, find out how amazing your brain is and how it works in an exciting new hands-on exhibition, Your Amazing Brain: a user’s guide, which is mind-boggling fun for all ages. With over 15 interactive puzzles and ‘mind-bending illusions’ it will show you how your brain can play tricks on you! Exhibition runs until 15 April 2023.

There’s lots more to discover in the museum’s new galleries that tell 200 million years of Bucks history and for hands-on fun the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery is packed with exhibits inspired by Roald Dahl’s marvellous children’s stories. Drop into the Museum Shop for a selection of unusual and unique Christmas gifts.
