Join Maples Flowers for a fun and family-friendly evening of wreath-making.
This is the perfect opportunity to de-stress and get creative while soaking in the twinkling lights and stunning panoramic views of the Bedfordshire countryside from the Visitor Centre – the highest point in the region.
During this two-hour workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step to craft your own festive wreath, perfect for decorating your front door or gifting to a loved one. No experience or materials are needed – just bring your festive spirit! Refreshments will be available for purchase to keep you warm and cosy throughout the evening.
Festive Craft Evening | 4 December | 5-8pm | Free (craft activities chargeable), booking essential
Get ready for a night of festive fun, flavour, and creativity. Join in for shopping, seasonal treats, and hands-on crafts that will spark your holiday spirit. Get involved in festive craft activities, discover handmade gifts created by volunteers and do a bit of late night shopping in the National Trust shop. Craft activities include: mini wreath making, bauble decorating and watercolour festive cards. £3 per person, per craft.
While you browse and craft, enjoy the café’s selection of hot food and drinks and maybe treat yourself to a mulled wine!
December Adventures at Dunstable Downs: A Knights’ Festive Feast | 6 December-4 January 2026 (Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) | 10.30am-4pm | £3 per trail, no booking required
Join the grand Knight’s Festive Feast and celebrate the year’s triumphs in true medieval style! As you journey through the trail, find out who plays a part in bringing a medieval banquet to life. Take on tasks, follow clues, and gather everything needed to complete the festive banquet table. Adventure, laughter, and merriment await—let the feast begin!
10-station trail with a congratulations prize at the end.
Prices are £3 per trail which includes the trail and prize. No booking required. Children of all ages are welcome. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads.
For an alternative trail option, there are themed sensory bags, a sensory trail, and spotter sheets to ensure everyone can join in the adventure.

One of the most popular events, Breakfast with the Elves returns to Dunstable Downs for another year. As you are served a heartwarming breakfast, you’ll have the chance to meet the elves and complete your Christmas activity sheet, all whilst looking out on beautiful winter views from Bedfordshire’s highest point. With festive fuel to burn, afterwards you can embark on the family trail, A Knights Festive Feast.

New for 2025, this festive celebration banquet completes the 2025 Knights’ programme. Step into a world of gallant knights, royal banquets, and timeless tales. Gather your family and friends, don your finest robes, and prepare for a night of laughter, music, and magic.
