Christmas Tree Recycling

Dacorum Borough Council is once again setting up Christmas tree chipping points this year so you an dispose of your real tree responsibly.

The following chipping points will be in operation on Sunday 6 January:

• Berkhamsted: Water Lane Car Park (behind Tesco Store), HP4 3AP 8.30am – 3pm
• Hemel Hempstead: Dacorum Borough Council, Cupid Green Depot, HP2 7BA 8.30am – 3pm
• Tring: Tring Garden Centre, HP23 5HF 10.30am – 4.30pm

You can even take your chippings home to use in your garden provided you bring your own bag.

What if you miss the date?

• Cut your tree into pieces and store it in your green bin until collections resume in spring
• Take your tree to a Household Waste Recycling Centre (Eastman Way, Hemel Hempstead or Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted)

No transport?

Some local Scout groups are collecting trees in return for a minimum donation:
