Mental Health Awareness Week (10-16 May 2021) is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of mental health problems and the services available to support people. This year’s theme set by The Mental Health Foundation will be focusing on nature.

Hertfordshire, Mid Essex and West Essex IAPT Services will be providing local residents with a free programme of online activities during Mental Health Awareness Week. As part of the week they will be hosting a variety of free live webinars including: How to cope with stress on Wednesday 12 May (11am) or Relaxation and nature on Friday 14 May (1pm).

During the week they will also be launching new self-help videos on their website and dedicated YouTube channel including a short video that will provide information about mindfulness walks in nature at the start of the week where they will be encouraging residents and colleagues to get outdoors for a daily walk throughout the week. This provides a great source of physical exercise whilst also taking time out of the day to have a break and focus on the present in the natural beauty of the season.

Please find attached a timetable PDF and JPEG which has more information about each daily activity and can be easily shared with colleagues or local residents.
