County Council Sets Out Priorities in New Corporate Plan

Herts County Council Corporate Plan

Hertfordshire County Council has agreed a new corporate plan, setting out a bold and ambitious vision to build a sustainable, inclusive and thriving Hertfordshire.

The corporate plan, titled On Your Side, sets out the county council’s key priorities between 2025 and 2028, and how the council will deliver them. The plan makes five key commitments:

  • Helping all children and young people to thrive and achieve their potential
  • Fixing Hertfordshire’s roads and buses
  • Growing a more sustainable Hertfordshire
  • Supporting those most in need
  • Delivering more.

Cllr Steve Jarvis, Leader of Hertfordshire County Council, said: ‘This plan is more than a statement of intent – it is a reflection of our commitment to the people of Hertfordshire. We are determined to be a council that Hertfordshire’s people recognise as being on their side – responsive, compassionate, and forward thinking.

‘We want every resident to thrive, to feel supported, and to have the opportunity to achieve their aspirations. Whether it’s through driving economic growth and innovation, protecting our natural environment, or ensuring that every child grows up in a safe and nurturing community, we are focused on delivering a real and lasting positive impact.’

Each of the five commitments in the plan is underpinned by specific objectives, and performance against these objectives will be measured and shared with residents.
