On 24 October, the coveted trophy from this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup won by England visited Strawberry Star’s new mixed-use development Lu2on as part of its tour of the UK. The event saw Luton dignitaries, VIPs and new home buyers at the development come together to celebrate England’s success and catch a glimpse of the iconic trophy.

The cricket World Cup is a global sporting occasion that brought people together from all over the world. With 2.6 billion people having viewed the matches this summer, it is no wonder that it is such an important occasion for the people of Luton. Strawberry Star is the official partner of the trophy’s tour of Luton. The trophy also toured local schools, mosque, half marathon, Diwali celebrations, a bank, and Luton Airport between 24-29 October.

Former English football players Brian Stein and Ricky Hill and Amran Malik, Wicketz Development Officer – Luton and senior management of Strawberry Star Group, including Vinod Tailor, Non-Executive Director, were among those who attended the event at Lu2on.The trophy was hosted at the Marketing Suite if Lu2on in Cubix. Representatives of Strawberry Star were also present at this special occasion.
