Dacorum Borough Council are pleased to announce the opening of the newly resurfaced tennis and netball courts at Cupid Green Playing Fields, Grovehill.

The courts, which are due to receive their final acrylic colouring this spring, provide another opportunity for Dacorum residents to improve their physical fitness using the wide range of facilities on offer at the Cupid Green site. The court refurbishment follows the recent launch of the Active Dacorum Hub which is run by Apex in the Community CIC.

Stewart Hunt, Director of Apex in the Community CIC said: ‘It has been great connecting with local residents during this process and to see the new facility being used in line with the latest lifted government restrictions is fantastic. We look forward to seeing the courts being used and remember to pop into the Cakeshack Café at the Active Dacorum Hub for your pre/post-workout refreshments.’

Claire Foster, Active Dacorum said: ‘It is great to finally open up the newly resurfaced courts to Dacorum residents and get them back to being physically active and playing sport. The opening also provides an opportunity for local tennis and netball clubs to ensure that there are more opportunities for residents to get involved with club sport and play competitively.’

There will be no cost for residents to use the facility for leisure use, but there will be a small charge for clubs and coaches to book the facility.
