Dacorum Borough Council Launches Budget Consultation
Dacorum Borough Council has launched a consultation on its proposed budget for 2024/25. The Council is facing significant financial pressures, including reduced government funding and rising costs, and needs to make difficult decisions about how to allocate its limited resources.
The Council must make saving of £4.4m over the next four years and is asking residents for their views on how it should allocate its limited budget.
Cllr Ron Tindall, Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Corporate and Commercial Services, said: ‘We are facing difficult financial decisions and we need your help to make the right choices for our residents. We want to ensure that we can continue to provide essential services to our residents, but we also need to be mindful of the financial pressures that we are facing.
‘I urge all residents to take part in the consultation and let us know your views on our proposals.’
The consultation will run for four weeks and residents can have their say online or by post.
The consultation runs until 11.59pm on Monday 8 January 2024. Everyone with a connection to the borough is invited to find out more and respond online at Let’s Talk Dacorum: letstalk.dacorum.gov.uk/budget-consultation-2024-25
