DENS Bike Project Supports Ukrainian Children Refugees

Living Magazines DENS Bike Project Ukrainian children

DENS is extremely proud to have helped two children from Ukraine find bikes they love at the charity’s Bike Project.

Thanks to the generosity of some local supporters, the DENS social enterprise was able to gift the children two fantastic bikes and helmets so they can explore the area with their new friends and host family.

Joss Cox, Social Enterprise Manager at DENS: ‘We are passionate about supporting our community in any way we can, whether that be providing training for our clients who have experienced homelessness, servicing a bike to make it safe or finding someone an affordable bike to get to work or school.

‘Going forward, we are happy to offer Ukrainian refugees 50% off any bike at the Bike Project.’

Please note: DENS is unable to provide any further comment or information about the children or their host family out of respect for their privacy.

About DENS Bike Project

As one of DENS’ popular Social Enterprise Projects, The Bike Project provides a safe space where homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded adults can learn new skills and build their confidence within a supportive and safe environment. Participants work alongside qualified mechanics to refurbish and repair donated bicycles. All bikes sold from the workshop help fund the growth and development of the project.
