Dentist Saves a Life

Stars must have been aligned one day in January when Nirav Dalia was running late for work and stopped to read a text while walking down Berkhamsted high street.

As Nirav, a dentist at Bow House dental surgery stopped, he heard a call for help from Nash Estate Agents, where a woman had collapsed.

When Nirav’s attempts to resuscitate her didn’t work, he rushed to get the defibrillator from the Bow House surgery. The patient was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance and survived.

Dr Edward Masheder, owner of Bow House in Tring and Berkhamsted is now looking to introduce training of basic life support as this incident has shown how vital it is. Nirav, meanwhile, has been nominated for various community awards.
