Ed Sheeran Legacy Auction

Living Magazines Ed Sheeran Legacy Auction

In February 2020, Oliver Myles Events were approached by the Suffolk based charity Gee Wizz to support a forthcoming Legacy Auction due to be  launched by a big name celebrity. They were under embargo until the live date which was due in March 2020, but behind the scenes Oliver Myles set about curating some high end unique experiences to go into the auction as Lots.

Then Coronavirus hit the world and plans had to be put on hold. Thankfully only for a period of a few months. On 22 October, the Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction was announced, supporting two Suffolk based charities Gee Wizz and Zest, part of the St Elizabeth Hospice family. Both charities raise money for children’s projects in Suffolk and Norfolk.

There are over 200 Lots in the auction, including tickets and a handbill from Ed Sheeran’s very first gig, organised in the Royal British Legion in Framlingham by his parents, the handwritten lyrics for his 2017 global hit Perfect, to after party tickets to the 2021 BRIT Awards with Mastercard.

Oliver Myles have used their expertise in providing 5* events to curate four experiences, from a Gala Dinner on Board the Royal Yacht Britannia (Lot 41), An evening at Windsor Races in a Hospitality Suite with 5* accommodation (Lots 42), a Private Tour at Windsor Castle after it has closed to the public (Lot 144) and a day’s shooting off the back of barge on the Thames in Central London (Lot 95).

Melanie Langley, Director of Oliver Myles, said: ‘We were delighted when Gina Long MBE approached us asking to help. As a company we already support the Local St Francis Hospice (Berkhamsted) but it is good to be able to reach out to wider fundraising audience. We really hope that the auction raises huge amounts for these worthy causes.’

The Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction runs on-line until 8 November.
