Enjoy art inspired by nature
The 2026 Chiltern Arts Festival invites you to take time to slow down, to find new ways to look and listen and to reconnect with the nature in your own life through music and literature.
On Saturday 16 May, the festival comes to Tring, Aldbury and Berkhamsted with a day full of music, making and mindfulness. Join Growing Bright in collaboration with the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust at College Lake in Tring for an opportunity to get hands-on with nature in two craft workshops – one for little ones, and one for crafters seeking a mindful moment. Both include foraging for inspiration and the chance to connect with nature through craft and art – and both include music to enhance the experience.
In the afternoon, stretch your legs with poetry walks between Aldbury and Ashridge, framing an hour of Natural Reflection with Trio Farben, whose programme of music for harp, flute and viola closes with Debussy’s gorgeous seminal work for this combination of instruments. In the evening, head to St Peter’s Church, Berkhamsted, for a concert that features Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, a favourite Mozart Piano Concerto and music by Mendelssohn and Delius.
