Living Magazines Coluco Flatbread

Living Magazines’ Publisher, Alison, visited Coluco with a friend to try out their new menu

My friend Jude and I visited Coluco on a very wet Saturday evening and, despite being quite quiet, the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

We were served by the lovely Paige and Owen, and started off the evening with cocktails – a Porn Star Martini for me (it tasted divine) and a Margarita for Jude.

I’m a vegetarian and Jude doesn’t eat much meat, so we were both delighted that the menu was so appealing. Don’t let that put you off, there was something for everyone, with plenty for the meat eaters to choose from too.

To start, we shared the Toasted Flatbread with roasted red pepper, parmesan and rosemary (pictured above), which was utterly delicious and just the right size for the two of us.

For the mains, we both deliberated over the Halloumi Burger before finally deciding on the Thai Green Vegan Curry with rice, for me, and the Vegan Salad for Jude.

The curry was so flavoursome and really buttery (although obviously not made with butter as it’s vegan) and Jude’s salad was a proper main meal with lots of taste and colour. Sadly we were too full to enjoy the desserts!

Living Magazines Coluco CocktailsColuco also serve an extensive all-day brunch, delicious cakes, cream and afternoon teas, and not forgetting those amazing cocktails! There’s also a separate Kid’s Menu.

It was one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time, in a lovely ambient atmosphere. I urge you to give it a try sooner rather than later!
