Florence Nightingale Midnight Walk 2019

Living Magazines Florence Nightingale Hospice Midnight Walk

The Florence Nightingale Hospice Midnight Walk is celebrating its tenth year in 2019.

The first event in 2010 saw 550 ladies walk up to 12 miles and raised £65,000 for the hospice. In the intervening 9 years, the walk has opened up to men too, and has raised more than £500,000 to help the Hospice provide care and support to patients and their families across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire.

They are inviting people to join them for the anniversary walk on Saturday 22 June to celebrate the lives of loved ones and the work that the Hospice does to provide comfort to those in need.

Lee Lloyd, Head of Fundraising, said: ‘The Midnight Walk is such an inspiring event to take part in and plays a huge role in our fundraising for the Hospice. We hope that this 10th Anniversary walk will be a record-breaker with the highest number of walkers ever.’

If you would like to take part, the charity has an Early Bird offer of £17 per entry until 28 February. From 1 March entries will cost £20. Walkers can choose either a 5-mile or 10-mile circular route, both starting from Aylesbury College at midnight. They’ll receive a free souvenir Midnight Walk 2019 T-shirt, a medal and a complimentary breakfast at the end of the Walk.
