Free Family Event to Celebrate our Armed Forces
On Saturday 28 June 2025, Dacorum Borough Council will be hosting its annual Armed Forces Day event.
Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to show support for our Armed Forces Community.
The free event will be held in Market Square, Hemel Hempstead from 11am-3.30pm and will feature a range of entertainment and activities for all ages, including a pop up Big Screen showing Second World War themed films Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang and The Railway Children Return. There will also be military vehicles, interactive entertainers – including stilt walkers and mini tanks, face-painting and balloon modelling.
A range of re-enactment, community and snack stalls will be available to sample and explore.
Cllr Smith-Wright, Portfolio Holder for People & Transformation, said: ‘Armed Forces Day is a wonderful opportunity to come together to celebrate and honour the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. I hope that our residents will join us on the day to show their support and to enjoy the fantastic entertainment and activities on offer.’
Further updates and timings for the day will be shared on the Council’s social media and website.
