Rural energy provider Calor is urging Hertfordshire homeowners living in non-mains gas areas to protect their fuel supply, after research shows that rural crime in the area has risen by 131.7 per cent*.

Rural crime cost the UK £44.5million* last year – increasing by 13.4 per cent from the previous year* – and Hertfordshire was one of the worst affected counties with an annual cost of just under £1 million.
