Dacorum Borough Council are celebrating after receiving six Green Flag Awards – including their first ever award for Gadebridge Park in Hemel Hempstead. The Green Flag Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, signifying their exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety, and community engagement.

In addition to Gadebridge Park, the Council is proud to announce that Bunkers Park and the Water Gardens in Hemel Hempstead, Canal Fields in Berkhamsted, Chipperfield Common, and Tring Memorial Gardens have also once again achieved the accreditation.

The consistent recognition of these parks and green spaces highlights the hard work and dedication of the team responsible for their upkeep. Their efforts ensure that these areas remain beautiful, safe, and enjoyable for both residents and visitors.

Cllr Robin Bromham, Dacorum Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Operations, said: ‘The recognition of our parks and green spaces with the Green Flag Awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. Their efforts ensure that both residents and visitors can enjoy these beautiful areas. The awards highlight the importance of maintaining high standards in our parks, which play a crucial role in community well-being and supporting our local biodiversity.’
