Golfers invited to tee off for charity

Living Magazines Absolutely Together activities for children with additional needs

Little Hay Golf Complex is inviting golfers and local businesses to take part in its upcoming Charity Golf Day on Friday 10 July, raising funds for the charity Absolutely Together and its Smiles Programme.

Teams of four are invited to enter the competition, which will be played in a Texas Scramble format. Entry costs £200 per team (£50 per person) and includes a breakfast roll with tea or coffee on arrival, followed by a two-course lunch after play.

As well as the main team competition, golfers will have the chance to compete for longest drive and closest to the pin prizes.

A raffle will be held following the prize presentation, giving another opportunity to contribute to the charity’s work. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase before and on the day of the event.

All proceeds will go directly towards supporting Absolutely Together’s work to improve the wellbeing of disabled children and their families.

Matt Schofield from Little Hay Golf Complex said: ‘We’re delighted to be hosting this charity golf day in support of Absolutely Together and the incredible work it carries out through its Smiles Programme.

‘The event offers a fantastic opportunity for golfers of all abilities to enjoy a great day on the course, while raising vital funds for a charity that helps so many families in our local community.

‘We look forward to welcoming teams from across Dacorum.’

Absolutely Together’s Smiles Programme provides opportunities for disabled children and their families to participate in leisure activities together for free. Funds raised through events like the golf day play a crucial role in sustaining and expanding the charity’s programmes.
