Hemel and Berkhamsted Leisure Centres Achieve Quest Stamp of Approval

Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre and Berkhamsted Leisure Centre have achieved the seal of approval from Quest, the UK Quality Scheme for Sport & Leisure.

Both leisure centres were awarded high scores from Quest, and are now set to add ‘Excellent’ and ‘Very Good’ accolades to their list of achievements.

The news comes after Everyone Active took over the management of Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre in April 2018, as part of a new partnership with Dacorum Borough Council.

In 2018, Everyone Active invested £1.3m into the refurbishment of Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre. The improvement works saw the centre upgrade and extend its gym, provide a new group cycling studio and a multi-purpose room and dramatically improve its dry-side changing facilities.

Everyone Active and the Council are currently working in partnership to implement similar refurbishment plans for Berkhamsted Leisure Centre.

Quest is a highly-regarded facility improvement programme within the sports and leisure industry and its rigorous assessments challenge even the very best leisure centres in the UK.

Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre and and Berkhamsted Leisure Centre were assessed to evaluate the health and safety, environment, customer experience, staff, cleaning and housekeeping of the venues. The Quest team also sent a ‘mystery shopper’ to review the facilities unannounced.
