The Hemel Hempstead and Chilterns office of award-winning care company, Home Instead Senior Care, which provides in-home care for clients in the local area, is currently looking to expand their care team, creating 120 jobs over the next 12 months.

As the UK’s population ages, the need for care services is also increasing. Recent figures show that by 2025 there will be over 13 million people in the UK aged over 65, many of whom will require care.

Speaking about the need to expand the team of caregivers, Jeremy Lane, owner of Home Instead said: ‘The way in which we operate is unique and allows us to offer a different working environment for our caregivers. For example, we match clients and caregivers – we look for common areas of interest or life experience so that there is an immediate connection.

‘Our care visits are of a minimum duration of 1 hour, ensuring our clients receive the best quality of care while providing our caregivers with high levels of job satisfaction.’

Jeremy continued: ‘We have people requiring care right now and so we are very keen to encourage more local people to consider a career in care. For people with no prior experience we provide a full training programme so any compassionate, reliable people who are interested in working with us should get in touch.’

On completion of their initial training, caregivers will become eligible to receive the nationally recognised Care Certificate and can go on to further develop their skills with additional qualifications should they wish. A great example of this is Home Instead’s bespoke Dementia Care Training Programme which is accredited by City & Guilds.
