Hemel Hempstead Employee Wins Wimbledon photo competition

Wimbledon may have come to a close for this year, but for Emma Regus it’s just begun after winning a luxury picnic hamper.

The prize was courtesy of Breakspear Park following Emma’s entry into its tennis competition. Participants in the competition were offered a selection of themed props and asked to create a funny shot for a chance to win.

Emma received the most Facebook likes on her entry which grand slammed her into the top slot.

As part of Wimbledon fortnight employees at Breakspear Park were also surveyed to reveal their all-time favourite tennis player. Topping the poll came Roger Federer, closely followed by Serena Williams – both of whom were runners-up last weekend. Interestingly, this year’s men’s Championship winner Novak Djokovic only came sixth in the survey, with women’s Championship Simona Halep not receiving any nominations despite also winning the French Open in 2018.

Dina Mistry, Marketing Manager for Breakspear Park, said: ‘Wimbledon fortnight is always very exciting so we decided to treat all employees to some fun activities to celebrate it. From free strawberries and cream to entertainment from a miniature comedy tennis show, there was something for everyone to get involved with. An ace time was had by all!’
