Hertfordshire Business Raises £1,500 for Children’s Charity

Living Magazines EUSA Pharma children's charity WellChild fundraiser

A Hemel Hempstead based company has raised more than £1,500 after hosting a cake and raffle day for charity.

The team from EUSA Pharma baked a large array of cakes and offered them for sale to all employees where their office is based at Breakspear Park. The prizes in the raffle were sourced by donation and included a Fortnum & Mason hamper, champagne, a car cleaning kit, beauty products, chocolates and more. All monies raised from the two activities were donated to WellChild, the UK’s children’s charity for seriously ill children.

WellChild was chosen by staff at EUSA Pharma as its good cause of the year following a nomination and vote process.

Emma Cain, HR Advisor at EUSA Pharma, said: ‘We are delighted that our staff have chosen to support WellChild this year. I think the charity came top of our poll as many of our employees have children so they could empathise with the cause. Thank you to everyone at Breakspear Park that supported the event and helped us to raise a fantastic £1,512.10.’

Dina Mistry, Marketing Manager of Breakspear Park, commented: ‘It was great to see so many people supporting this one-day event which created an amazing buzz around the centre. Well done to everyone that got involved, and we look forward to EUSA Pharma’s next fundraiser.’
