Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is Seeking your Views

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) has opened a survey so that people who live and work in the county can have their say on its future.

Responses to the survey will help the service understand how prepared people who live and work in the county are to deal with emergencies, build a picture of the barriers there are to people joining the fire and rescue service, and learn how it can better engage with the community.

All feedback will be incorporated into the service’s plan for a safe and resilient Hertfordshire which details the key risks and challenges facing the county, as well as how HFRS will use its resources to respond.

Cllr Morris Bright MBE, Executive Member for Public Health and Community Safety, said: ‘We are committed to evolving our fire and rescue service so that we are fit for the future as we work to keep our communities and physical environment safe.

‘We’ve set out what we think we need to do to prepare for the future, including embracing new research and technology, creating more sustainable services, and working more closely with our communities and partners.

‘Our plan for a safe and resilient Hertfordshire won’t be complete without your input. That’s why we’re asking you to share your views about your local fire and rescue service and how we use its resources to keep Hertfordshire safe.’

The survey is open until 19 November, and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete. You could win one of three £50 high street vouchers – enter your details at the end of the survey for a chance to win.
