Hertfordshire Year of Culture Update

We’ve received the following news from the HYOC2020 campaign team:

In light of recent news, we appreciate that some upcoming events are be being cancelled. If you are hosting a HYOC2020 event that is now not going ahead, please can you mark the event cancelled, rather than deleting it from the site. (If you’ve listed your event in Living Magazines’ What’s On, please also remember to advise us of any cancellations or date changes.)

We will instead be encouraging people to participate in creative activities at home by promoting 64 Million Artists’ ‘Create to Connect’ using the #HertsMyCreativeCounty hashtag, as well as sharing online and offline creative resources. Please follow us on our social networks which so you don’t miss out: Facebook @HertsYOC2020, Twitter @hyoc2020, Instagram @hyoc2020.

If you are working on, or come across something that can be accessed from home, please share it on social media using #HertsmyCreativeCounty or let us know at hyoc2020@hertsmere.gov.uk This includes things like virtual tours, activity packs, tutorials and anything else that can be done from home. We’re looking to collate these on Creative Hertfordshire so they’re easily available to share.

We understand that this a difficult time for everyone, so the more we can support each other, the better. Just because some things are cancelled, it doesn’t mean that creativity has to be.
