Herts BIGGER Weekend 2021
The Herts Bigger Weekend will now take place from 25 September, with opportunities for visitors to redeem tickets into October. Following initial messaging earlier in the year, it has been decided to move the dates to September to allow as many businesses as possible to get involved in this popular campaign.
The Herts Bigger Weekend is all about giving residents the chance to discover – or rediscover – the array of fantastic things to see and do on their doorstep, encouraging them to spread the word about their county and turn them into our best tourism ambassadors. With confidence in taking domestic trips gradually increasing it is expected that a quarter of all domestic overnight trips this year will be to visit friends and relatives, therefore this is the year to ensure your business is involved.
Visit Herts is inviting Hertfordshire’s tourist attractions, venues, restaurants, experiences and destinations to be part of this year’s campaign by offering complimentary tickets or a special experience for visitors.
As we reopen and relaunch our industry again, this major campaign comes at an ideal time to market your business at no cost, plus all involved will receive free GDPR-compliant opt-in data as well as feature in free marketing activity through all Visit Herts channels.
In order to accommodate any remaining restrictions at venues, ticket validity has been extended throughout the campaign period to allow businesses to safely manage their capacity and offer tickets for off-peak hours. Free attractions will automatically be included in additional activity to encourage people to extend their stay in Hertfordshire for longer, increasing visitor spend and overnights stays within the county.
To take part, you MUST register your business and upload your ticket allocation before 12 August 2021.
If your business has participated in previous years, simply login to your account, update your details and upload your ticket offers.
If you’re new to the Big Weekend, you’ll need to register your business first.
