Dacorum Borough Council’s Community Partnerships and Wellbeing Team – in partnership with Apex – will be holding a virtual wellness festival to celebrate Hertfordshire year of Culture and the opening of the Active Dacorum Hub.

The virtual event on Sunday 23 August will showcase the new Active Dacorum Hub run by Apex, located at Cupid Green playing fields in Grovehill, Hemel Hempstead.

There will be a variety of free online wellbeing activities throughout the festival that people can join in with and enjoy safely at home.

The activities will be filmed at the hub and include yoga, mindfulness, dance and fitness.

All activities will be run by local facilitators lasting approximately 30 minutes, starting from 10am, with the last session at 4pm.

The festival will be available on the day on the Active Dacorum Facebook page @ActiveDacorum.

Cllr Julie Banks, Portfolio Holder for Community and Regulatory Services said: ‘What a fantastic idea and way for Dacorum residents to get involved in online activities and to see the new Active Dacorum Hub.

‘It is great to see the range of organisations coming together to work with us in partnership to put on such an event for the community. A special thanks to Apex in the Community for their investment and collaborative work with us to get the Active Dacorum Hub open.’
