Information about COVID-19 Plan B

Living Magazines COVID-19 Plan B Omicron

Following the Government announcement yesterday (8 December) that we are moving to Plan B – the government’s strategy for dealing with COVID-19 this winter – the following measures are being put in place:

  • From Friday 10 December, you will be legally required to wear a face covering to most public indoor venues, including theatres and cinemas. More information on venues where you need to wear a face covering can be found on the gov.uk website.
  • From Monday 13 December, those who can should work from home
  • From Wednesday 15 December, and subject to parliamentary approval, the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App will become mandatory for entry into nightclubs and settings where large crowds gather.

Omicron

All contacts of suspected Omicron cases must self-isolate for 10 days, even if fully vaccinated or under 18. You will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace.

Vaccines

Plans are being put in place to accelerate the vaccine programme for boosters and second doses for 12-15 year olds. If you are eligible, you can get your jab at either the walk-in vaccination clinic at Hemel Hempstead Hospital or book through the NHS website.
