In August 2018 Dacorum Borough Council started its £1.8m investment project into the refurbishment of Tring Leisure Centre. The plans include the refurbishment of the reception area, staff rooms, two main changing rooms, disabled changing room, viewing gallery and first aid room.
The refurbishment includes significant mechanical and engineering works and replacement of major plant items which operate the swimming pool. The swimming pool and surrounding walkways will also be resurfaced. The work is due to be completed early February 2019 with facilities re-opened once all safety tests have been completed.
Councillor David Collins, Portfolio Holder for Corporate and Contracted Services, said: ‘We would like to thank customers of Tring Leisure Centre for their patience while we make these important improvements to the facilities. The refurbishment works will provide the community and the school with upgraded facilities to help keep fit and enjoy.’
