Olivia Finds Island Retreat
A student from Berkhamsted has moved to a remote Scottish island, while all lectures are running remotely.
We were delighted to hear from Olivia Ahern recently, who is studying at Edinburgh University and moved to the Isle of Cumbrae, with fellow student and boyfriend Harry.
Looking to cut back on Edinburgh rents and find a slower pace of life, where they could enjoy hill walking and cycling, Olivia says they ‘used the whole UK map feature on Rightmove and practically ‘threw a dart’’ on where we wanted to go’.
Olivia, 20, who went to Victoria First School and Thomas Coram Middle School, and was a member of Berkhamsted Guides and Berkhamsted Raiders girls’ team, as well as the town’s tennis and running clubs, added: ‘We are making great memories while pursuing our goal of becoming travel influencers through our Instagram account @islandsemester2021.’
