Lockers Park School Pupils Celebrate Academic Success

Living Magazines Lockers Park - Year 8 Leavers 2021

Lockers Park has been celebrating academic success this month. The highly-regarded boys’ preparatory school is proud to announce that once again it has achieved a fantastic 100% pass rate for its Common Entrance examinations, with all 21 of its Year 8 pupils securing places at their chosen senior schools.

The academic accomplishments see pupils moving on to the country’s leading senior schools including Berkhamsted School, Bedford School, Eton College, Rugby School and St Albans, to name but a few. Lockers Park prides itself on the breadth of senior schools it sends pupils to, carefully finding the right school for each boy: 21 leavers are moving on to 12 different senior schools.

Headmaster Christopher Wilson comments: ‘Well done to all our boys who worked so hard, particularly in their final year at Lockers Park. To have a 100% pass rate for Common Entrance is a real achievement in these times and testament to the exceptional blended provision we have been able to provide (combining onsite and remote learning). Whilst expecting every boy to achieve his potential, we are careful not to place undue pressure on our pupils, encouraging them to balance the academics with a rich extra-curricular school life. We wish them every success as they embark upon the next important stage of their educational journey and look forward to hearing all about their senior school adventures.’

Described by the Good Schools Guide as a school that ‘brings out the best in boys’, Lockers Park is a purposely small day and boarding school for boys aged 4-13. Its practical, experiential approach to schooling ensures boys are highly engaged and inspired to achieve the best academic results, with pupils moving on to the country’s top senior schools.
