Lace up your trainers and spread the word – the London Bridges Walk in aid of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is back and early bird tickets are available until 1 February. Taking place on Sunday 8 March 2026, this popular family-friendly walking challenge offers two different routes that both take in some of the capital’s most iconic bridges and landmarks.

The sponsored walk starts from the Pear Tree Café in Battersea Park and challenges participants to tackle either five or ten miles through the capital, while raising vital funds for hospice care.

Everybody who takes part in this year’s walk is encouraged to raise at least £266 in sponsorship. This could help provide a day of specialist nursing care for a local person – providing medical, practical and emotional support to help them get the best out of every day while living with a progressive life-limiting illness.

Lynda Nayler from Hemel Hempstead has signed up for London Bridges Walk 2026. As a bank nurse for the charity, Lynda has a deep understanding of the importance of hospice care and the difference that fundraising makes.

Speaking ahead of the event, Lynda said: ‘I’m taking part in the London Bridges Walk with my husband, Andy. We took part last year and it was a great fundraising event for us as we love heading into London anyway, so it was a lovely opportunity to enjoy some of the best scenery the capital has to offer, while raising money for a wonderful cause.

‘As a Rennie Grove Peace nurse I see firsthand the difference that our services make to local people. Whether we’re visiting them at home, caring for them at our Inpatient Unit or being a source of support at the other end of the phone, I know that the reassurance and comfort our services provide is invaluable to patients and families.

‘I hope that taking part in the London Bridges Walk will encourage other people to do whatever they can to support the charity because the support of our community really does make all the difference.’

Emma Stewart is the Events Manager at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. She says: ‘Our London Bridges Walk is always popular with people who want to take on a challenge while taking in some of the best sights London has to offer. Whether you’re walking in memory of someone special or just to support the work of Rennie Grove Peace, grab your friends, family, colleagues – or even a canine companion – and join in.

‘I’d like to thank our sponsor, Origin, for supporting the event again. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the phenomenal support of our community.’

Early bird tickets are available from now until Sunday 1 February 2026 and start from just £8.

Walkers who raise over £532 – enough to fund two days of specialist nursing care for a local person living with a progressive life-limiting illness – will receive a free event hoodie to wear with pride on the day.
