As the Olympic Games in Rio get ever closer, the Marlowes shopping centre in Hemel Hempstead opens its own summer of sport.
Every Tuesday throughout August between 11am and 4pm, you’ll find fun things to do with the kids at the Marlowes:
Official opening ceremony with Peacock stilt-walkers welcoming visitors to the centre. Craft-making activity will include Olympic torches and carnival masks to take home.
Free face-painting and a ‘Support Team GB’ workshop making flags and rosettes.
Make a medal and design your own Olympic ID badges (lanyard included); there will be a competition for the best medals.
Take part on a sports simulator with slots throughout the day for football, basketball and cricket.
An inflatable surfing style Surf Simulator will round events off with a competition for the person who surfs for longest.
