Marlowes Stay And Play A Firm Family Favourite

Living Magazines Marlowes Stay and Play

Families across Hertfordshire have loved visiting Marley’s Stay & Play indoor play area at The Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, following its launch in May half term. The new Stay & Play area was built as part of the centre’s wider project to improve its family area, and follows an extensive revamp of the guest facilities.

The new Stay & Play area provides a fun and safe space for children aged 12 and under to play whilst parents relax and can even treat themselves to a coffee and cake at the café.

During the launch, The Marlowes hosted a range of activities for children to enjoy during their half term week, including face painting, craft activities and a trail around the store. Since the launch it has remained hugely popular, attracting both returning and new customers.

The Marlowes still have further plans to improve the guest facilities around the centre and have further activities planned, with their annual summer safari planned to launch in July.

Cassie Peasnell, The Marlowes Marketing Manager, commented: ‘We’re delighted with how well the opening month has gone, with lots of very happy children – and parents! There’s such a strong sense of community in the centre thanks to the new facility which is so lovely to see.

‘With the weather being slightly disappointing at the start of June, Stay & Play has provided parents with the perfect indoor space to keep their children entertained. We are excited to see more and more families visit the centre as our improvements continue.’

The woodland-themed play area was launched to make The Marlowes more accessible to families, making shopping more appealing to children, and is part of a major investment conducted by The Marlowes and Capital & Regional.

Stay & Play has been designed to celebrate the location of Hemel Hempstead, a town surrounded by vast woodland and Natural Trust areas.
